R-22 gas phase out: the right change to do

Through the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, the international community has committed to a collaborative effort to regulate and phase out ozone-depleting substances. This is why the R-22 gas used in refrigeration equipment for ice rinks is being phased out. While in Europe the gas has been permanently banned for a few years now, in the US the ban on R-22 gas has been in effect since 1 January 2020. The ban has major implications for those companies facing a replacement or wholesale conversion of their equipment and since R22 is no longer produced, the price of gas reserves will be extremely high.

Industrial Frigo Ice will assist you in adapting your equipment and help you evaluate alternative options and understand what is most beneficial to your business. In addition, the phase-out period allows you to replace your equipment containing R-22 with energy-saving and eco-friendly solutions.
